Dr Alan Forte

Veterinarian (BVSc (Hons) )

Alan is the Principal and Founder of Racecourse Road Veterinary Clinic.  Alan comes from a farming background, he completed his Veterinary Degree at Melbourne University and graduated with honours in 1982.  He particularly enjoys the challenge of Small Animal Medicine and has ensured the clinic is equipped with up to date equipment.  Alan is married with two children, Sara and Jack.  In his spare time Alan breeds Charolais cattle.

Dr Duncan Hoggett

Veterinarian (BSc,BVSc,IVAS(cert))

Duncan is an experienced veterinarian who has a particular interest and qualification in treating animals with acupuncture. His aim is to provide effective acupuncture treatment to compliment the conventional medicine provided by Racecourse Road Veterinary Clinic.

David Kim

Veterinarian (BVSc)

Dr David graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2013. He grew up in Melbourne, and started his career in a country practice in Horsham, before returning to a small animal practice in Melbourne.

David enjoys attending Continuing Education courses as he is alway's endeavouring to provide the best possible care for all his patients.

David lives with his gorgeous Toy Poodle Mickey. Outside of work, he can be found at the footy, supporting his beloved Richmond Tigers or eating at Melbourne's trendy restaurants.

Dilini Ilangaratne

Veterinarian (BVSc(Hons))

Dr Dilini graduated from the University of Melbourne on the Dean's Honours List in 2013 and has been in Small Animal practice since graduating. She has a special interest in Small Animal Medicine and is undertaking further study in this field. Dilini is very excited to become a part of the Racecourse Vet Clinic team and is looking forward to providing the best care for your pets. 

In her spare time, Dilini is also a dancer and volunteer teacher. She hopes to travel and volunteer overseas in the future as well. 

Sarah Shannon

Veterinarian (BSc DVM (Distinction) )

Sarah graduated from the University of Melbourne with distinction, and started Small Animal practice at Racecourse Road Veterinary Clinic soon after. She has a keen interest in Small Animal Surgery and hopes to continue her studies in this field. Sarah looks forward to getting to know our clients, along with their furry friends! Sarah's other interests include riding her horse, teaching her dog new tricks, and baking.
